Commissions

For portraits based on a photo submitted by the client, the size depends on the resolution of the photo. A non hi-res photo usually works best on a canvas of 16” x 20” or smaller. Every photo is different and will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Please allow 3-5 weeks for completion.

Pricing Example: 8”x8” canvas based on a submitted photo would be approximately $250 CAD

The larger the canvas, the higher the quality of the photo must be.

The following is the recommended process for a highly personal and original work of art that accurately reflects the subject:

1) Client Questionnaire

2) Concept Sketches presented to client based on questionnaire

3) Photoshoot of subject for hi-res images

4) Photo-editing/ composites for client to choose from

5) Painting labour + expertise (3-5 weeks for completion after both parties have agreed on the design)

Please a allow a minimum of 60 days for the entire process.

Pricing example: 30”x40” portrait based on the above process would be approximately $1500 CAD
